For a client of ours who is a Legal Corporate & Fiduciary Company working closely within the FX sector in Limassol they are looking for a Compliance Advisor to join their growing company and team.

The Company is providing support in legal, corporate, compliance, and risk management services. By offering administrative legal support, entity formation, compliance program implementation, and operational risk advisory, the Company enables clients to navigate complex regulatory environments with greater confidence and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, review, implement and maintain effective compliance frameworks, policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. 
  • Support senior compliance management in overseeing regulatory obligations, including AML/CFT monitoring and internal control processes. 
  • Draft, review, and negotiate both standard and complex contractual agreements, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. 
  • Monitor and interpret changes to relevant legislation and regulatory guidance, recommending and implementing necessary updates to policies, procedures, manuals and operational documents as assigned.
  • Conduct periodic compliance audits, risk assessments, and internal reviews to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.  
  • Identify, investigate, and escalate potential compliance issues, proposing corrective actions and preventive measures. 
  • Prepare and submit compliance and AML-related reports to relevant authorities and stakeholders as required.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance, regulatory, and governance matters as well as collaborating closely with all related departments to promote awareness and ensure consistent implementation of compliance obligations  
  • Handle legal and compliance-related queries, maintain accurate documentation, and support audit and inspection processes. 

Requirements: 

  • BSc/BA and/or MSc in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Holder of CySEC Advanced and AML Certificates (Master’s degree or other related certifications such as CAMS, or ICA will be considered an advantage). 
  • Minimum  2 years’ proven experience in a similar Compliance, AML or regulatory role within the financial services sector. 
  • Familiarity with AML/CFT regulations, risk management principles, and corporate governance frameworks is highly preferred.  
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. (Additional Languages will be advantageous). 
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential information.
