Our client, an innovative communications company based in Limassol, is looking to hire a highly motivated Accounts Assistant, who will be responsible to record, report and manage the company’s finances by providing administrative support and improving the overall accounting process of the company.

Responsibilities: 

  • Reconciles invoices received with departmental billings.
  • Issues invoices to customers based on services rendered and/or goods sold.
  • Prepares and tracks payments.
  • Reviews employee expenses and make reimbursements.
  • Tracks expenses as they relate to specific projects and jobs.
  • Validates invoices against items or services received.
  • Checks all financial transactions for accuracy.
  • Enters key data into the company’s accounting system.
  • Prepares monthly reporting.
  • Assistance with the month-end and year-end closes.
  • Maintains good knowledge of the company’s products and services.
  • Maintains good communication and cooperates well with other departments.
  • Good knowledge of the company’s electronic systems and databases.
  • Maintains good knowledge of industry regulations and trends.

Qualifications:

  • A Degree in Finance, Accounting or adequate experience in a similar position
  • Microsoft Dynamics (Navision) knowledge will be considered as an advantage
  • Experience in the shipping industry will be considered as an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of the English Language
  • Good communication skills (written and oral)
  • Computer literacy
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and particularly Excel
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Logical thinker and the ability to work as part of a team and alone
  • Flexibility and adaptability to juggle a range of different tasks and to work extra hours to meet deadlines

Working hours:

The working hours are 08:30 am – 17:00 pm, Monday to Friday
