The client has offices in both Nicosia and Larnaca and is dealing with both Property and Technology. They are looking for an Accounts Assistance and can work from either office and location.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Provision of assistance to Board Directors in relation to operations and administrative matters on a day-to-day basis.
  • Providing administrative assistance to team members of the Company.
  • Performing other administrative duties such as handling electronic documents and maintaining electronic databases and an organised filing system.
  • Accounting, Audit and Payroll Matters:
  • To carry out the bank and suppliers reconciliations
  • Dealing with audit queries and relating matters
  • Preparation and process of the payroll
  • Update and maintaining payroll records
  • Preparation of the quarterly VAT returns
  • To post the various transactions and keep book-keeping up-to-date
  • Processing of various payments
  • Undertaking and carrying out any other reasonable ad hoc duties in order to support the Finance department
  • Communicating with local authorities in Cyprus regarding accounting and administrative matters of the Company.
  • Controlling timesheets and development of reports.
  • Acting as the first point of contact and organising in- and outgoing mail correspondence and courier packages.
  • Assisting in onboarding of new employees of the Company.
  • Liaising with suppliers and other parties for office maintenance and to ensure for the smooth operation of the office.
  • Travels to other locations of the Company or other offices, inland or abroad, as required for the performance of the above duties
  • Carries out any other assignment that the company will find appropriate with regard to the job.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Educated to a degree level: Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or towards his/her ACCA professional qualification
  • LCCI Higher will be consider as an advantage
  • 3+ years of experience within a similar role is essential.
  • 1-3 years' experience as a Bookkeeper is a must.
  • Excellent command of the spoken/written Greek and English language.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Especially Excel, Word and Powerpoint).
  • Highly reliable, trustworthy and loyal personality.
  • Ability to solve problems and find solutions.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be proactive.
  • Attention to detail / accuracy.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
