Our client is a Payment Service Provider based in Limassol and offering turnkey solutions to its clients an due to continuous growth my client is looking to recruit a mid-level Accountant with 3- 5 years’ experience to join the accounting team
Duties and responsibilities:
- Record book–keeping transactions and maintain accurate accounting records for the Group’s Companies (local and international companies).
- Analyse and reconcile general ledger and end-of-period close activities.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly expense, liquidity and Assets versus Liabilities reports by Group regulated entity.
- Execution of daily, weekly and monthly payments.
- Management of the cash flow and accounts payable of the group entities.
- Daily/Monthly reconciliation of bank statements.
- Prepare and deliver accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring they meet both regulatory and internal reporting standards.
- Assist in the audit process by providing various reports and supporting documents as required by auditors.
- Ensure compliance with VAT/Tax and prepare/review VAT returns and tax forms.
- Collaborate with other departments/team members to ensure the company’s documents are complete and updated.
- Coordinate with the external auditors in the preparation of the annual financial statements.
Skills and Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 3-5 years of proven experience working as an Accountant.
- Previous proven experience in a payment institution will be considered a strong advantage.
- Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with accounting software and MS Office.
- Knowledge of BTMS accounting software will be considered an advantage.
- Previous FinTech/Payment industry experience will be considered as an advantage.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members across departments.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in English and Greek.
Working hours:
- Monday to Friday 9:00 – 17:00
