Our client is an International Group of companies with their head office in Paphos and they are looking to hire a Junior Accountant to join their finance team of the Group.
Responsibilities:
Posting journal entries into the accounting system
Manage accounting transactions
Daily check and processing of incoming invoices from counterparties
Process payments to counterparties, payroll, VAT and other payments
Issuing of invoices to counterparties
Review and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Perform bank reconciliation
Ensure timely bank payments
Liaise with external auditors for the annual statutory audit
Reinforce financial data confidentiality
Comply with financial policies and regulations
Assist in preparation of Group consolidated financial statement prepared in accordance with IFRS
Assist in preparation of Budget VS Actual performance reports
Assist in preparation of management accounts
Perform other related activities as requested by the senior finance staff
Requirements:
Relevant knowledge and experience in Accounting of at least 1-2 years is a must
ACCA completed or in progress (exemptions should not be taken into account)
Good practical knowledge of Excel
Very good working English
Experience in a Big 4 accounting/ audit firm will be considered an advantage
Salary and benefits:
Competitive salary plus 13th salary.
Opportunity to work remotely if based in another city.
Working hours:
8:00 am - 5:00 pm or 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday to Friday
